Career-change evidence
Separate transferable proof from missing domain experience
A prior role may support the same action or outcome in a different context. Map that evidence explicitly without presenting adjacent experience as direct industry experience.

Transfer test
Compare the work, context, and boundary
- Identify the underlying action: analyze, coordinate, write, sell, teach, build, investigate, or operate.
- Record the real setting, scale, constraints, tools, collaborators, and result from the prior role.
- State what transfers and what remains unproven in the target domain.
- Keep regulated credentials, licenses, domain authority, and required years of experience as separate gaps.
Wording
Name the adjacent context
Use accurate language such as transferable, adjacent, or applied in another setting when needed. Do not relabel a prior job, employer, client, credential, or responsibility to make it appear direct.
No fit or eligibility decision
The checklist does not determine qualification, sponsorship, background-check outcomes, salary, recruiter preference, interview probability, or hiring likelihood.
